Viewing: Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Rhome Funeral Home Inc., family owned and operated as a member of the Golden Rule, 1209 Grand Blvd. Monessen, where friends will be welcomed from 9-10 a.m.Tuesday, November 26.
Service: Funeral Services will follow at St. Mary's Byzantine Catholic Church of Monessen at 10:30 a.m. with Fr. Stephen Wahal officiating.
Interment: Interment will follow in the St. Mary's Cemetery, Rostraver Twp.

Betty Burdock Gallas, 84 of Monessen, passed away on Tuesday, November 19, 2013 in Victoria House of Monessen.
She was born April 1, 1929 in Monessen, a daughter of the late Michael and Anna Pendrick Burdock.
She was a member of St. Mary's Byzantine Catholic Church of Monessen . PA State Education Association and the National Education Association. South West Region-Westmoreland County Education association.
An avid golfer, Betty was a founding member of the Monessen Ladies Elks Golf League, along with her sister Pauline Burdock in 1970 at the Chipewa Golf Course. She also belonged to the Cedarbrook Gals Golf League, and the "Lucky Coins" Bowling League
She worked for many years as a Secretary and 1st Grade Teacher with the Monessen School District prior to her retirement in June of 1993..
Surviving are her brother- Edward Burdock and wife Ann of Monessen. Several nieces and nephews. Great nieces and great nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley E. Gallas and a Brother- Michael Burdock, and Sisters- Pauline Burdock and Margaret Anderson.
