Viewing/Services:

Friends will be received in the Rhome Funeral Home, Inc., 1209 Grand Blvd, Monessen, PA, 15062 on Wednesday, July 5, from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM. A prayer service will be held on Thursday at 9:30 AM at Rhome Funeral Home with Mass to follow at Epiphany of Our Lord Catholic Church in Monessen. Interment will follow in Grand View Cemetery.

 

Carol B. Vivio, 82, of Monessen, PA, passed away Friday, June 30 at Shadyside Hospital. She was born September 5, 1940, in California, PA, a daughter of the late Ludie and Cecelia (Rowe) Bakos. Carol was a member of Epiphany of Our Lord Church. She will be remembered by everyone who knew her for her beautiful smile and loving heart.

 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Ronald Bakos. Carol is survived and will be missed by Ron, her husband of 61 years as well as her daughter, Jennifer Santoro, son-in-law, Marc, and her grandchildren, Michael and Taylor. Also left to cherish her memory are her sister, Yvonne Shearer (Dick), brother, Les Bakos, as well as 7 nieces and nephews including Ron (Beth) Bakos, Bryan (Jill) Bakos, Richard (Tracy) Shearer, Jill (Matt) Sorisio, Jef (Nicole) Bakos, Ashley (Frank) Vitale, and Lauren Bakos, along with 9 great nieces and nephews.
