Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Rhome Funeral Home Inc., 1209 Grand Blvd. Monessen, where friends will be welcomed from 1-3 and 6-8 pm on Friday, April 8, 2022.  Funeral services will be held in the funeral home on Saturday April 9, 2022 at 11:00 am.  Burial will follow in the Grandview Cemetery of Monessen.

 

Charles W. Figel, 92 , of Monessen,passed away on April 5, 2022 in the Veterans Hospital of Pittsburgh.He was born  in Monessen, on December 21, 1929, a son of the late Nicholas and Maria Fedio Figel. Charles was Catholic by faith.  He had been a Steelworker prior to his retirement.  He had honorably served his country in the United States Army.Surviving are   Nieces and Nephews- Patti Figel Artim, Jackie Newman, Paul (Fred) Figel, Nancy Ruey, Jeffrey Figel, Mary Ann Josay, George Josay, and Shirley Vaccaro. Great nieces- Tracy Amati and Shannon Amati.  Great great nephews- Michael and Nyzere Amati adn great great niece Giavonna Amati.  Numerous other Nieces and Nephews.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers- Mike, Nick, and Paul Figel.  A sister- Ann Josay, and a nephew- Nickey Figel.
