Doris Callaway

Viewing: Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Rhome Funeral Home, Inc., family owned and operated as a member of the Golden Rule, 1209 Grand Blvd. Monessen where friends will be welcomed on Monday from 2-4 and 6-8.
Service: Services will be held in the funeral home on Tuesday at 10:30 a.m.
Interment: Will follow in the Belle Vernon Cemetery, Belle Vernon.

Doris Callaway, went to be with the Lord on the night of January 31, 2014.
She was born June 17, 1922 in Monessen, She was a daughter of the late William and Flora Atkinson Kyle. She resided in Belle Vernon for 60 plus years
Doris served as choir and youth leader for the Evangelical Brethren Church of Monessen before joining the United Methodist Church of Monessen. She loved watching Steeler games and listening to Pirates broadcasts. Her family was her everything.
Surviving are- Her daughter, Ruth Callaway, with whom she resided with until taking up residence at Country Care Manor. Grandchildren- Scott Callaway and wife Lori, Ken Callaway and wife Beth, and Shari Callaway Daniels .Eight great grandchildren- Matt, Jake, Ben, Kenny Paul, Nathan, Alexa, Megan, and Sydney, all of whom were the loves of her life. She is also survived by three sisters in law- Florence Callaway, Yvonne Stewart, and Bernice Kyle. Numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Callaway and her son- Kenneth Callaway. Brothers- William, Warren, and Robert Kyle. A sister- Mildren Kyle Bachetti.
