Obituary:
Dwayne T. "Murph" Murphy, 66, of Monessen, passed away on Monday, February 11, 2013. He was born December 17, 1946 in New Eagle, a Son of the late John and Dorma Ellis Murphy. "Murph" was the owner/operator of the Chateau Lounge in Monessen and had
previously owned Murphy Auto Body, and the Monessen Boron Station. "Murph" enjoyed Boating, "Doo Wop" music, and Classic Cars with his club- "The Chateau Cruisers", of which he was founder and past president. He also enjoyed travel, going to Steeler Football games, Super Bowls, and the Meadows and Rivers Casino's. "Murph" was Methodist by faith.
Surviving are his compnion-Nita Menendez, a son- D. Thomas and wife Christine Murphy of N. Belle Vernon, daughter-Amy Murphy Bissett and husband Jeff of Washington, two sisters- Dianne of Donora and Colleen of Rostraver Twp. Brothers-Anthony "Snookie" and wife Johanna of Belle Vernon, John and wife Jessica of Donora and Fred of Monessen, Grandchildren-Meaghan, Christian, and Alexa Murphy and Gillian Bissett. Nieces and nephews-Danny, Lisa, Lena, Conor, Erin, Melissa, Branden, and Jacqueline, Several great nieces and nephews.
