Obituary:
Edward "Sonny" Zandanel, 81, of Monessen passed away May 12, 2013 in Alleghrny General Hospital. He was born January 25, 1932 in Donora, son of the late Edward & Dena Fontanelli Zandanel. Mr. Zandanel served in the US Air Force during the Korean War and had been employed by Prudential Insurance Company prior to his retirement. In addition to his parents, Mr. Zandanel had been preceded in death by a sister Delores (Dolly) Hines. Survivors include his wife Laverne, children; Debra & Dwight Elledge of Texas, Wayne Zandanel of Monessen, Diane & Tony Teslik of New Mexico, Lisa & Mike Durant of Alabama, four grandchildren, eight step grandchildren, sisters; Louise Bittenbring of Virginia, Ida Nutting of Indiana, brothers; Vic Zandanel of Indiana, and Lee Zandanel of Florida.
