Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Rhome Funeral Home Inc., 1209 Grand Blvd. Monessen, where friends will be welcomed on Sunday, November 6, 2022 from 1-3 and 6-7:30 pm, the time of services.

George J. Marek, 77 years  of Belle Vernon, passed away on November 2, 2022. He was born in Pittsburgh on August 14, 1945, a son of the late George F. and Mildren Henchir Marek. George was a member of the IBEW #5.  He enjoyed music and playing in his band.  He also enjoyed farming his land, working on his house, and riding his Harley Davidson.Survivors include his daughters- Georgette Lexie and Denise and husband David Heitzmann. Four sons- Brian, Scott, Daniel, and Ryan Marek.  Grandsons- Tom Evans Jr. and Tyler Marek.  His life partner- Natalie Pezzelle. Sisters- Kathleen I. Ambler and Diane M. Dolfi.  Several nieces and nephews.
