Viewing: Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Rhome Funeral home Inc., family owned and operated as a member of the Golden Rule, 1209 Grand Blvd. Monessen where friends will be welcomed from 2-4 and 6-8, Tuesday, January 13.
Service: A Blessing Service will be held in the funeral home on Wednesday, January 14 at 10:00 followed by Funeral Services at 10:30 at St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Church of Monessen with Fr. Joseph DiStefano officiating.
VFW services will be held Tuesday evening at 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home. A Trisagion Service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.
Interment: Internment will follow at Grandview Cemetery, Monessen.
Obituary:
Gust J. Chicolis, 84 of Monessen,passed away on Sunday, January 11, 2015 in Mon Valley Hospital.
He was born January 25, 1930 in Monessen , a Son of the late John and Athena Agouridis Chicolis.
He was a member of St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Church of Monessen.
Gust faithfully served his country as an Army Sgt. in Korea and was a member of the Monessen VFW and American Legion Post #28
He worked as an Auditor for PA Liqour Control Board prior to his retirement .
Surviving are his wife- Anna August Chicolis, Daughter- Joane and husband Keir Bordner Sr., Son John Chicolis, Daughter- Joy Chicolis, Grandchildren-Keir Jr and Alicia Bordner, and Several Nieces and Nephews.
He was preceded in death by his Brother- George Chicolis and sisters- Clara and Sophie Chicolis.
