Viewing: Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Rhome Funeral Home Inc., family owned and operated as a member of the Golden Rule, 1209 Grand Blvd. Monessen, where friends will be welcomed Friday from 6-8.
Services: The Parish Rosary will be recited in the funeral home on Saturday at 9:30 a.m., the Panachida Service will be at 10:00 a.m. followed by the Divine Liturgy at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary's Byzantine Catholic Church of Monessen with Fr. Stephen Wahal officiating.
Interment: St. Mary's Cemetery, Rostraver Twp.
Obituary:
Irene A. Sovich, 82, passed away on Tuesday, February 12, 2013 in Mt. Macrina Manor, Uniontown. She was born March 23, 1930 in Monessen, PA, a daughter of the late Stephen and Suzanne Shema Sovich. She was a Life long member of St. Mary's Byzantine Catholic Church of Monessen and had served as Church Secretaty from 1958-2000. She worked as a Banker at the Former Mellon Bank of Monessen prior to her retirement .
Surviving are her sister-Helen M. Burke, of Wexford House, Wexfod a
Brother-Edward Sovich,of Los Angeles CA and Nephews-Gregory A. Burke, of Oakhill VA, Joseph T. Burke,of Wexford, and James C. Burke, of Peters Twp. She was preceded in death by Brother- William Sovich and a nephew- Stephen Patrick Sovich.
