Private funeral services were entrusted to the Rhome Funeral Home, Inc. 1209 Grand Blvd. Monessen, PA, where friends will be welcomed on Sunday, September 19, 2021, from 12pm-4pm.

 

 

Irene Battistone, 85, of Rostraver Twp., passed away on September 15, 2021 in her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Cokeburg, a daughter of the late Frank Swatz and Mary Kulsic. Irene had worked in various positions at Mon Valley Hospital for 32 years prior to her retirement. Surviving are her son, Robert (Leslie) Battistone, of Rostraver Twp., and a daughter, Lori Obbel (John) of Venetia; grandchildren Audrye, Alexis, Michael and Olivia; several nieces and nephews and her favorite pets "Pepper" and "Sparky." In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Romeo Battistone, a daughter, Rita, and several brothers and sisters.
