Services: Services will be held at First United Methodist Church of Greensburg, Thursday, December 27, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. As per the family's request, Memorial contributions may be made to the Church in lieu of flowers.

Jack L. Sonafelt, 90 of Greensburg, and formerly of Latrobe and Monessen passed away on Monday, December 17, 2012 in Westmoreland Manor. He was born November 18, 1922 in Monessen, a Son of the late Andrew and Bertha Harris Sonafelt. He was a member of FIrst United Methodist Church of Greensburg, was a
Volunteer Firman, was past President of Monessen Ambulance Service where he was a Volunteer, Charter Member and Past President of the Rostraver Ambulance Service (REMS)Past President of Monessen Kiwanis Club, and member of Greensburg Kiwanis Club, American Legion #33, and the former Monessen F&AM #638. JAck was also very active with the Westmoreland County Heritage
Festival. Jack worked for many years as a Contractor in Monessen prior to being hired as the Supervisor of Twin Lakes Park with Westmoreland County, from which he retired. Jack was a veteran of WWII having served as a Lt. in the Army Air Corps. He had been a Pilot in the CBI area and Africa as well Surviving are his wife of 66 yrs, Charlotte Lochrie Sonafelt, and his children- Linda L. Williams and husband Roger Lee, O'fallon, IL, Susan Meek and husband Temple of Hartwood, GA, D. Judson and wife Brenda Sonafelt of
Mt. Airy, GA, Jack A. and wife Mitzie Sonafelt of Brentwood, TN, James E. and wife Stephanie Sonafelt of Unity Twp., and Carrie States and husband Ronald of Greensburg Twelve grandchildren, eight great grand children, and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his brothers- Earl and Home Sonafelt, and sisters- Darling Cathers, Dorothy Willey, and Alice Moore.
