James "Magoo" McGowan

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Rhome Funeral Home Inc., 1209 Grand Blvd. Monessen, where friends will be welcomed on  Thursday, October 7, 2021, from 1:00 pm - 3:00 and 6-8  pm.  Services will be held in the funeral home , October 8, 2021 at 11:00 am.

Interment will follow in the Grandview Cemetery of Monessen.

 

 

James "Magoo" McGowan, 58 years old of Yukon,formerly of Monessen, passed away on Tuesday October 5, 2021 in Washington Hospital.He was born on November 28, 1962 in Charleroi, a son of the late James and Betty Joyce Povich McGowan Magoo  was a member of the West Newton Sportsman's Club and the German Club of West Newton, as well as various other social clubs.He was a "laid back" man who enjoyed the Yough River and the outdoors.  He truly enjoyed time with his friends and was always good for a laugh. .He had been employed at Wabtec .Surviving are his sons-  Jimmy  McGowan, and Michelle, Brian and wife Dana McGowan, Daughter- Maggie and husband Adam Kissell, Grandchildren- Connor and Molly McGowan,  Sister-Jill and husband Chuck Bennett, niece- Madison  Bennett, and many Aunts, Uncles,  Cousins, and Friends.
