Viewing: Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Rhome Funeral Home Inc., family owned and operated as a member of the Golden Rule, 1209 Grand Blvd. Monessen where friends will be welcomed from 6-8, Wednesday, November 6, and 6-8 on Thursday November 7.
Service: A Blessing Service will be held on Friday, November 8 at 9:30 a.m. in the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at the Epiphany of Our Lord Roman Catholic Church of Monessen with Fr. Michael Crookston officiating.
Obituary:
John A. Kerestes, 55 ,of Monessen, passed away on Sunday, November 3, 2013 in Jefferson Regional Health Center.
He was born January 21, 1958 in Charleroi a son of the late Stephen W. and Ann Prokopovitch Kerestes.
He was Catholic by faith. John was an avid fisherman and marksman. He also was a "Muscle Car" enthusiast and a good mechanic
He worked at Volkswagon, Harley Davidson, and Latrobe Steel, and most recently was employed at U.S. Steel, Irvin Works .
Surviving are his wife, Susan Sedlak Kerestes, his son- John D. Kerestes, daughter- Sarah Anne Kerestes, Brother-Stephen and wife Lori Kerestes of Dayton, Ohio, and nephews and niece-Stephen W., Jared and Abigail Kerestes.
He was preceded in death by two cousins- George and Carol UpVall in addition to his parents.
