Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Rhome Funeral Home Inc., 1209 Grand Blvd. Monessen where friends will be welcomed on Tuesday from 10:00 am until 12 noon, the time of service.Interment will follow in the Grandview Cemetery of Monessen.

John  Sobran, 96 , of Monessen,passed away on May 22, 2021 at his residence. John was born  in Monessen,on January 5, 1925 to John and Eva Sobran He was a member of St. John THe Divine Russian Orthodox Church of Monessen and the American Legion.  John had honorably served his country in the United States Army during World War IISurviving are his Son, John Sobran of Pittsburgh, a sister- Sophie Schuresko, his special niece- Karen Deveney, and several other nieces and nephews..He was preceded in death by his wife- Mary Sobran, two sons- Gregory and Richard Sobran, a brother- Chuck Punzell and a sister- Mary Costine.
