Obituary:
Joseph P. Billy, 85 of Monessen, passed away on Tuesday, July 19, 2016 in Jefferson Regional Health Center. He was born October 29, 1930 in Monessen, a son of the late Ignatias and Ann Prokop Billy.
He was a member of Painters Union. Founding member of Monessen Fire Dept. #2 "Hilltop". Joe had been a pitcher in the "Grapefruit League" Mior League Baseball. He worked as a Painter for Painters Local #327 . Joe was a Veteran of the United States Army.
Surviving are his sons- Joseph "Jose" Billy and Michael Billy, both of
Monessen. Grandchildren- Alexandria Billy, Jessica Billy Mascara, Michael Billy Jr., Jonathon Billy.A sister- Ann Parker.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Kathryn Billy and Siblings- Mary Todaro, Martha Zollars, Irene Bost, Andy Billy, Elizabeth Michalski, and Susie Macheska.
