Viewing/Service: Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Rhome Funeral Home Inc. 1209 Grand Blvd. Monessen, where a Private Blessing Service will be held Monday April 28, 2014 at Twelve Noon, with Fr. Michael Crookston Officiating. Entombment will follow in Grandview Cemetery.
Obituary:
Joseph J. Salvino, 85, of Ft. Lauderdale Fl., formerly of Monessen, passed away April 19, 2014 in his home. He was born June 2, 1928 in Monessen, son of the late Anthony & Theresa Venneri Salvino.
Mr. Salvino was a member of the Epiphany of Our Lord Church and the Knights of Columbus, both of Monessen and had been employed as a foreman in the central electrical shop for Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel, prior to his retirement.
Surving are his wife; Betty Jane Stevenson Salvino, daughter; Patty Bucci of Ft. Lauderdale Fl, son, Joe (Toni Lynn) Salvino of Monessen, grandchildren; Brianna Salvino, CJ Salvino, Rachel and her husband Jeff Santiago, Jennifer & Shawna Bucci, Jessa, Roger, & Nick Brandemarte, great-grandchildren; Joey and Sunny, brother; Ralph (Doris) Salvino of Corona CA, sister; Madeline (Jim) Barron of Monessen, sister in law; Donna Salvino of Roscoe, and several Nieces & Nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother James (Yippy) Salvino and a grandson, Jo Jo.
