Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Rhome Funeral Home Inc., 1209 Grand Blvd. Monessen where friends will be welcomed from 1-3 and 6-8 on Thursday.  A Blessing Service will be held on Friday in the funeral home at 9:30 am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am at the Epiphany of Our Lord Church of Monessen with Fr. Fr. Michael Crookston officiating.  

Entombment will follow in the Grandview Cemetery Mausoleum

Obituary:

Belle Vernon, PA  Marco A. "Peanuts" Egidi Jr., age 80, of Belle Vernon, formerly of Monessen, passed away in Fairfax, VA on September 9, 2018.  He was born in Monessen on February 9, 1938, a son of the late Marco and Ida Leonetti Egidi Sr.  Mr. Egidi, a veteran of the Korean War, was a bricklayer by trade, and had finished his career working for the Dick Corporation as a Superintendent for 25 plus years.  Mr. Egidi was Catholic by faith.  He was an avid fan of Football and Basketball.  He rarely missed Monessen Greyhound games .  His greatest joys were in his family and food.  Surviving are his Wife, Arlene Wehousie Egidi, Son, Michael and wife Kim Egidi, of Monessen,  Daughter, Lisa and husband Drew Spofford, of Bristow VA, and  Daughter, Pam and husband Eddie Pereira,of Nokesville VA.  Grandchildren- Zachary, Megan and George, Dominic, Haley, Sam and Alyssa, Great-Grandchildren, George and  Aizlynn, Brother, Armand and wife Gilda Egidi, Sister, Clara Ritacco, Sisters in law, Thresa, Sylvia, and Scottie Egidi, Numerous Nieces  and Nephews, and special extended family members - Heidi and Chris Coccari.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his  Brothers-, Richard "Dick" Egidi, Morgan Egidi, and Victor Egidi, Brother-in-law Leo Ritacco, and Great-granddaughter, Remi Rose McGuckin.
