Viewing: Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Rhome Funeral Home Inc., family owned and operated as a member of the Golden Rule, 1209 Grand Blvd. Monessen where friends will be welcomed from 2-4and 6-8, Friday, November 8
Service: A Blessing Service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. followed by a Divine Liturgy at St. Mary's Byzantine Catholic Church of Monessen at 10:30 a.m., with Fr. Stephen Wahal officiating.
A Parish Rosary will be said at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home on Friday, followed by a Panachida Service
Interment: Interment will follow in the St. Mary's Cemetery, Rostraver Twp.
Obituary:
Mary Ann Horvath, 80 , of Monessen passed away on Tuesday, November 5, 2013 in UPMC Shadyside.
She was born August 2, 1933 in Monessen,a daughter of the late Andrew and Sophia Horvath.
She was a 1951 graduate of Monessen High School
She worked as a Clerk for Rite Aid (Thrift Drug) , prior to her retirement.
Byzantine Catholic by faith, she was a member of St. Mary's Byzantine Catholic Church of Monessen, as well as the Ladies Guilde and Rosary Society. She was also a volunteer with the Meals on Wheels Program and the Democratic Election Committee for numerous years
The past several months, she had resided in Adams Twp with her only daughter- Kathleen Zyski Lauteri and husband James Lauteri. She is also survived by her two beloved grandchildren- Kristen and David Lauteri
She was preceded in death by her brothers- George, Andrew, and Michael, and a sister- Sophie.
