Mary Madeline Gilman, age 86, passed away on November 10, 2020. A native of Monessen, Pennsylvania, she was born to William and Madeline Parkinson on August 21, 1934. She was a graduate of Monessen High School, class of 1952, and earned an education degree from California University in 1969.

            She led a very active life and enjoyed entertaining, boating, cruising, and traveling with family and friends. For many years, she loved teaching students in the Monessen School District. Some of her hobbies included playing bridge and reading.   

            She is survived by her two sons: Dean Thomas Gilman and Richard George Gilman, her grandson, Jamie Owen Gilman, his wife, Alison, and her two great- granddaughters, Tiger Lily and Primrose Mary, her step-grandson, Charles Rhatigann(Jenny), step- great-grandchildren, Hanna, Camden, and Grace; sister Cathy Parkinson Keener, (David), and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. Mary was preceded in death by her lifetime sweetheart of many years, husband Billy Owen Gilman and her son, Billy William Gilman, (Debbie), her brother, William R. Parkinson, (Ruth), and sister, Lois Parkinson Jones, (Lee).
