Viewing/Services: The funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Rhome Funeral Home Inc. 1209 Grand Blvd. Monessen. The family will welcome friends from 9-11 a.m. , Saturday, February 8 at St. Mary's Byzantine Catholic Church of Monessen. Divine Litrugy will begin at 11:00 a.m. with Fr. Stephen Wahal officiating.
The Family would like to extend their gratitude to the Administrative Staff and Nursing Staff at Westmoreland Manor, Greensburg, for the excellent care that was given to Mary and her Family.

Obituary:
Mary Lacanic, 98 , passed away on Monday, February 3, 2014 in Westmoreland Manor.
She was born May 22, 1915 in Bridgeport, CT, a daughter of the late Michael and Mary Macura Soltis.
She was a member of St. Mary's Byzantine Catholic Church of Monessen.
Surviving are her son-Albert and wife Marlene Lacanic of Saxonburg , two sisters- Dorothy and husband Tom Stefan of Belle Vernon and Margaret Roe of Monessen, a brother- Paul Soltis of Valinda CA, a grandson-Russel and wife Melanie Lacanic of Palmetto FL, three great grandchildren-Shane Michael, Amanda Mae, and Andy Francis Lacanic, and one great great grandchild- Riley Anne Lacanic. Numerous nieces and nephews grand nieces and nephew.
She was preceded in death by her husband- Milan George Lacanic and a son- Michael G. Lacanic. A sister- Ann, and six brothers- Joseph, John, Michael, George, Peter, and Andrew.
