Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 31 at 11:00 a.m. in the St. Nicholas Ukranian Orthodox Church of Moneseen
Internment will follow in the Grandview Cemetery of Monessen
Obituary:
.Michael "Meatball" Gallas, 94 , of Monessen, passed away on March 28, 2018 at the Mon Valley Hospital, Carroll Twp. . He was born on February 2, 1924. a son of the late Semko and Anna Tkach Gallas Mr. Gallas was a member of St. Nicholas Ukranian Orthodox Church of Monessen and the Ukranian Club of Monessen. Mr. Gallas deeply enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, and was an avid Outdoorsman whom liked hunting and fishing. He was also an avid fan the Pittsburgh Steelers, Pirates, and Penquins. Mr. Gallas served his country in the United States Navy during WWII. Mr. Gallas is survived by his Daughter, Debra and husband Gregory Resetar of Belle Vernon,a Son, Robert Gallas of Tidioute,; Three Grandsons, Brian Resetar and companion Kristin of Corry, PA, Chad and Shanna Resetar of Greenville, PA, and Eric Resetar of New Stanton. Three Great-Grandchildren, Taylor, Jordynn,, and Paxton; . Mr. Gallas was preceded in death by his wife- Ann Homas Gallas. two Brothers, Stanley Gallas, and George Nida, and a Sister, Mary.
