entrusted the RHOME FUNERAL HOME INC., Family Owned and Operated as a Member of the Golden Rule, 1209 Grand Blvd., Monessen, where friends will be welcomed from 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 12.
Services: Funeral services will be held in the chapel of the funeral home on Saturday 11:00 a.m.
Interment: Grandview Cemetery of Monessen
Obituary:
Nicholas Macko,93, formerly of 376 Pear Ave., Belle Vernon, passed away Oct. 10, 2012, at Sunbury Hospital. He most recently resided at Nottingham Village Nursing Home, Northumberland, Pa. Nick was born Aug. 14, 1919, in Monessen, and was married to Mary (Thompson) Macko, who preceded him in death in 2001. Nick was a crane man/steelworker for 43 years in the Monessen Plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel. Nick was a World War II veteran and a
life member of the Belle Vernon American Legion. Nick enjoyed his dogs, working in the garden, tending to his fruit trees, and handyman projects. He was involved in his church and was always willing to help out family, friends and neighbors. Nick is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, David and Patricia Macko of Danville and William and Mary Macko of The Villages in Florida; five grandchildren, Jason, Nicole, Bill, Diane, and Linda; and five great-grandchildren.
