Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Rhome Funeral Home Inc., 1209 Grand Blvd. Monessen, where friends will be welcomed on Monday from 1-3 and 6-8 pm.  Funeral services will be held in the funeral home on Tuesday at 10:30 am with Pastor Sandy Fitzgibbons officiating. 

Interment will follow in Holy Name Cemetery of Monessen. The family requests memorial contributions be made to the United Methodist Church of Monessen.

Ronald  K. Phillippi, 86, of Monessen, passed away on May 23, 2023 in the Emergency Room of Penn Highlands Mon Valley Hospital. He was born in Monessen on April 30, 1937, a son of the late Cloyd and Violet Mae Tressler Phillippi Sr. He had graduated Monessen High School with the class of 1955. Ron was a member of the United Methodist Church of Monessen. He had also been a member of the Raven A.A. having served as President. His employment over the years included Westmoreland Paving, American Chain and Cable Company-Pages Division, The City of Monessen as a Police Officer, Volkswagon, and ultimately retiring from Precision Marshall Steel as the Maintenance Supervisor. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife- Ella Turano Phillippi, Sisters- Gloria Jean Evans, and Mona Ruth Imbrescia, brothers- Harry, Harold “Duane”, Marvin, and Cloyd "K" Phillippi. Surviving are his Son- Eric T. and wife Jodi Phillippi, Daughters, Kristin Phillippi-Henry and Mark Stash, Tracey and husband John Swann, and  Andrea Phillippi and Benjamin Bailey.  Grandchildren- Josh, Levi, Kendra, Alyssa, Tyler, Cole R., Cole S., Jules, Major, and Steeel. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
