Obituary

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Rhome Funeral Home Inc., 1209 Grand Blvd. Monessen, where friends will be welcomed on Tuesday from 1-3 and 5-7 pm.  Funeral services will be held in the funeral home on Wednesday at 10:00am with Pastor Tom Harding officiating. Interment will follow at Mon Valley Memorial Park, Donora.

Sarah Sage Salay, 32 ,of Monessen, passed away on May 19, 2023, at UPMC Montefiore Hospital, Pittsburgh. She was born  in Monongahela, on February 17, 1991, a daughter of the late Stephen J. Salay and Janet Grcich Salay, whom survives. She was a devout Christian whom loved to help others. Sarah also loved dogs and spending time with her friends. She was very adept in fashion and loved shopping. In addition to her mother, Sarah is survived by her sisters- Melessa (Justin) and Chelsey. Nieces- Skylar and Stepheni, Nephew- Spencer. Numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. In addition to her Father, she was preceded in death by her dog- “Zena,” and grandparents- Stephen & Frances Grcich, and Stephen "Sage" & Gertrude Salay.
