Viewing/Service: Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Rhome Funeral Home Inc., family owned and operated as a member of the Golden Rule, 1209 Grand Blvd. Monessen.
Friends will be welcomed from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., the time of services, at St. Nicholas Ukranian Orthodox Church of Monessen on Saturday. Rev. Roman Yatskiv will officiate the services and burial will follow in Grandview Cemetery of Monessen.
Obituary:
Walter R. Matta, 71 , of Monessen, passed away on Monday, July 22, 2013 in Uniontown Hospital.
He was born May 25, 1942 in Monessen,a son of the late Michael and Ann Stefanowicz Matta.
He was a member of St. Nicholas Ukranian Orthodox Church of Monessen and the P.N.A..
Surviving are his two Aunts- Nellie Bachinski and husband John, and Charlotte Grimsley both of Monessen, and numerous cousins .
He was preceded in death by a Brother- Donald Matta, Step sister- Elizabeth Ranalli, and step nephew- Jessie Ranalli.
