Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Rhome Funeral Home Inc., 1209 Grand Blvd. Monessen where friends will be welcomed on Saturday, September 15, 2018, 11:00 am - 1:00 pm, the time of service, with Pastor Jeff Marton officiating.

 

Interment will follow in Grandview Cemetery of Monessen

 

 

Obituary:

Edward P. Seftas, 93 of Monessen, passed away on Thursday September 13, 2018  at his home.He was born  in Donora, December 14, 1924, a son of the late  Nicholas   and Anna Tomovchik Seftas .Mr. Seftas had gruaduated the Monessen High School with the class of 1942 and Morrisville College in 1949.   He honorably served his country in the United States Army, 264th Infantry Division in World War II.  Mr. Seftas was a Purpl Heart recipient. Mr. Seftas had worked for American Chain and Cable Co., Pages Division and had retired from the Mathies Mine.Surviving are his daughter-, Christine Keppich, of Venetia PA,  Sons-, Edward C. and wife Marie Seftas, of Pittsburgh and , Mark J. and wife Patricia Seftas, of Williamsburg, VA.  Daughter, Janice E. Lexie, Eight Grandchildren, Six Great Grandchildren, Brother, Andrew Seftas, Sister, Georgetta and husband Melvin Nickolich, Several Nieces  and Nephews, and a Special Caregiver, Rachele Jones.He was preceded in death by his  Wife, Elaine C. Seftas, in 1990 and a Sister, Julia Seykoski.
