Viewing: Visitation will be held in the Rhome Funeral Home Inc. 1209 Grand Blvd. Monessen, on Friday from 1-3 & 6-8pm.
Services: Services will be held in the Funeral Home on Friday evening at 7:40 pm with Fr. Bob Lubic officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the John Uhrin fund PO Box 665 Grindstone, PA 15442

Obituary:
John David Uhrin “Hunk”, 61 of Grindstone (formally of Star Junction) passed away Sept. 11, 2012 at home after a year long battle with lung cancer. He was born Jan. 6, 1951 in Connellsville, PA, son of the late Joseph and Irene (Kubina) Uhrin. John was an avid outdoorsman. He loved to hunt, fish, and trap, as well as pick berries and his favorite Morel mushrooms. He is survived by his wife Kim Sloan Uhrin, three daughters; Tausha Davis and husband Eric, Amanda Melton and husband Chris, and Joni Sanchez and husband Juan, four step children; Billy, Jessie, Coty, Sabrina, and nine grandchildren, also nine brothers and sisters, Irene Haluschak and late husband Nick, Josephine Harter and husband David, Sandy Miller and late husband Chris, Joseph Uhrin and wife Lisa, Annette Dennison and husband Tom, Darlene Shanle and husband Barney, Theresa Gibson and husband James, Sophie Dennison and husband Greg, Mark Uhrin and wife Laura, and also several nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends and all that new him.
