Viewing/Service: Friends will be welcomed on Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 at Galone-Caruso, 204 Eagle St. Mt. Pleasant PA.

Additional viewing will be held on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., the time of the services with Rev. Meredith Trout officiating.

The funeral arrangements were handled under the direction of the Rhome Funeral Home Inc. 1209 Grand Blvd. Monessen

Interment: Interment will follow in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.

Obituary:

Joseph C. Trout, 87 , passed away Monday, September 16, 2013

He was born at home in Hunker to the late Nelson and Margaret Thomas Trout. He graduated from Youngwood High School and upon graduation, entered the United States Navy. He had attended and graduated from the Chicago School of Engineering. Joe was a proud Naval Veteran of WWII, having served on the USS New Mexico in the South Pacific. He was privledged to be aboard ship in Tokyo Bay at the signing of the Unconditional Surrender of the Japanese Government..

Joe operated a successful plastering business for over 50 years. He had also worked in local industries in his youth at Walworth and US Steel Irwin Works. He was employed for over 20 years by the Elliott Company of Jeannette, retiring in 1989. Joe was an avid hunter whom had enjoyed spending time with his family and friends at their Bedford County cabin. Joe was a member of the Bridgeport Free Methodist Church and had served as Treasure of the Church in the past.

Surviving are his children-Claudia and husband John P. Wolfe of Selinsgrove, PA,and Linda Jo and husband Michale D Paul of Greensburg, PA, a son- Roger D. and wife Diane Trout of Mt. Pleasant, Five grandchildren- Deanna and husband Derk Reid, Joey, Nathan , Lukas , and Elisa . Three Great Grandchildren-Darbee, Mitchell and Alayna.
Three brothers- Rev. Merideth "Turtle" Trout and wife and wife Betty, Clyde and wife Dee Trout, Terry and wife Kelly Trout. Also, a sister in law- Jackie Trout. Numerous nieces and nephews

He was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Bonnie Rhome Trout in 2006. Also, by his brothers- Galen, Nelson Jr. and wife Dolores, and Tom Trout. Two sisters- Rachel Tate and husband John and Sally Anderson and husband James.
