Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Rhome Funeral Home Inc. 1209 Grand Blvd. Monessen, PA.

Therewill be visitation on Wednesday, July 22 from 12pm to 2pm at St. Spryridon Greek Orthodox Church with the services starting at 2pm. A private family interment will follow at Grandview Cemetary, Monessen.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children www.lovetotherescue.org.


Obituary:

Michael S. Tetteris Sr. 74, passed away on Sunday, July 19, 2020. Michael was born on November 23, 1945; he was a son of the late Steve and Anne Tkach Tetteris and was a lifelong resident of Monessen. After graduating from Monessen High School, Michael obtained a Bachelor's Degree from California University of Pennsylvania, a Master's Degree from Duquesne University, and a Doctorate from California Coast University. Michael was a career educator having been a teacher, counselor, and professor until his retirement. Mike continued his passion for teaching and the outdoors throughout retirement volunteering as a hunter education instructor for the Pennsylvania Game Commission. Mike's teaching didn't stop in the classroom as his most important lessons were taught at home, setting an example of unconditional love of his family. He was a member and past president of St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Church in Monessen and a member of several sportsman's clubs. Mike was affiliated with Tri-County Masonic Lodge #252, Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite-Valley of Pittsburgh, and Syria Shriners. He is survived by his wife of 49 years Toni Ann Cocciolone Tetteris of Monessen; son Michael S Tetteris Jr. and wife Angela of Rostraver Township; and beloved granddaughter Sophie May Tetteris. Mike is also survived by several sister and brother in-laws, nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and his beloved dog Sasha. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by baby daughter Amanda, brother Steve "Soto" Tetteris, and sister Eleanor Louloudis.
