Viewing: Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Rhome Funeral Home Inc., family owned and operated as a member of the Golden Rule, 1209 Grand Blvd. Monessen, where friends will be welcomed from 1-3pm and 5-8pm, Friday, May 10.
Service:A Trisagion Service will be held in the funeral home at 8:30 a.m. followed by funeral services at 9:00 a.m. in St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox, Saturday, May 11, 2013 with Fr. Joseph DiStefano officiating.
Trisagion services will be held in the funeral home on Friday evening at 7:30.
Interment: Interment will follow in Grandview Cemetary,Monessen.
Contributions may be made to the Mon Valley EMS or the Monessen Volunteer Fire Dept. Company #1. in memory of Mr. Bantlis
Obituary:
Peter Bantlis, 63, of Monessen, passed away on Tuesday, May 7, 2013 in Mon Valley Hospital.
He was born October 21, 1949 in N. Charleroi a son of the late Christ Bantlis and Ourania Vogiatzoglou Bantlis Gallas, whom survives.
He was a member of St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Church of Monessen. Pete loved his Mustang and enjoyed conversation with his friends over a cup of coffee. Pete was devoted to his family and enjoyed spending time with them.
He worked as a Steelworker prior to his retirement.
Surviving in addition to his mother Ourania, are his son-Christ Bantlis of Monessen, a Granddaughter- Elena, step daughter-Robin and husband Pole Madison of Monessen, Step grandsons-Blair and Morgan Madison, Sister- Dessie and husband Rusty Conaway, two step brothers- George and wife Dana Gallas and Emil "Moe" and wife Jennie Gallas and two nieces- Angel and husband Andy Temoshenka and Nikki and husband Bill Kelly.
