Viewing: Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the RHOME FUNERAL HOME INC., family owned and operated as a member of the Golden Rule, 1209 Grand Blvd., Monessen, where friends will be welcomed 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 2.

Service: Services will be held in the funeral home Wednesday, Aug. 3, 2016, at 11 a.m. with Pastor Ron Malm officiating.

Obituary:

Robert Milton Beveridge, 71, of Fallowfield, formerly of Monessen, passed away Sunday, July 31, 2016, after a lengthy battle with cancer, at his home. He was born Sept. 27, 1944, in Brownsville, a son of the late Ralph G. and Mellie Elizabeth “Libby” Umbel Beveridge. He graduated from Monessen High School in 1962, where he was and continued to be an avid Monessen Greyhound fan. He had served his country in the U.S. Air Force. After his military service he had worked at Combustion Engineering, Drakenfield, PAT Transit, and finally as a security guard for Gaurdian. Bob was a boy’s baseball umpire in the late 1980s and early 1990s. He enjoyed Nuzzacci’s Pizza and the Italian Hall in Monessen, Dairy Queen, and anything sweet. His love of sports was evident in his grandchildren, and he attended many, many, of their sporting events including basketball, football, baseball, soccer, volleyball, and softball. Bob was a friendly and outgoing person, who always met someone he knew or struck up conversation with. Surviving are his children, Darin and wife Melani Beveridge, David and wife Melissa Beveridge, Cami Beveridge and fiance Mark Scholl, Daryl and wife Tara Beveridge, and Robyn Beveridge; grandchildren, Brittany and husband Devin, Ashley, Darrah, Michael, Luke, Jessica, Kalie, Victoria, Jake, Bella and Nicholas; stepgrandchildren, Jillian, Madison and Emma; his beloved pets, Sadie, Beamo, Sadie and Buppa; four brothers, Alan and wife Karen Beveridge, John and wife Holly Beveridge, Cris and wife Wendy Beveridge, and Carl and wife Lynn Beveridge, all of Virginia. He was preceded in death by his brother, Ralph Scott Beveridge.
