Viewing/Services:

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Rhome Funeral Home, Inc., 1209 Grand Boulevard, Monessen, Pennsylvania.    Family and friends will be received on Monday, June 11, 2018 from 6 to 8 pm and again on Tuesday, June 12, from 1 to 3 pm and 6 to 9 pm.  Parastas will be conducted at the funeral home on Tuesday evening at 7 pm.   A Blessing Service will be held on Wednesday, June 13, at 9:30 am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am at Epiphany of Our Lord Roman Catholic Church, 44 Pennsylvania Boulevard, Monessen.  Father Michael Crookston will be the celebrant of the Mass.   Interment will follow at St. Hyacinth Cemetery.

 


Obituary:

Victoria A. (Patchan) Dzurko of Monessen passed away June 8, 2018 after a period of illness.  She was born to Stephen and Mary (Walko) Patchan in Uniontown, Pennsylvania. 
Victoria is survived by her husband Edward D. Dzurko to whom she was married nearly 47 years, her son and daughter-in-law Edward S. and Christina Dzurko, her daughter and son-in-law Teresa and Peter Speicher, and her son and daughter-in-law John and Rhonda Dzurko.  Bubba dearly loved her six grandchildren:  Grace and Owen Dzurko; Benjamin, Nathan, and Matthew Speicher; and Aiden Dzurko.  She is also survived by sisters-in-law Mary Anne Patchan and Kathleen Patchan, and brother-in-law Joseph (Regina) Dzurko, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Victoria enjoyed polka dancing with her husband and spent many weekends listening to the sounds of their favorite bands.  Bubba also loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Victoria was preceded in death by her parents and siblings Michael (LaRue) Patchan, Stephen Patchan, Peter (Elizabeth) Patchan, John (Anna) Patchan, Mary Patchan, Andrew Patchan Sr., Nicholas Patchan, Dorothy (Ronald) Freiburg, as well as her special niece Katherine Shamrock, whom she loved as a sister.
